God's Plan of Salvation

The God of heaven has set up a simple plan that all may obey and become a part of His family.  If this plan is followed a person will enjoy fellowship with The Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, and may look forward to spending eternity in heaven.  First, a person must have faith.  In Hebrews 11:6, the Bible states..." But without faith it is impossible to please Him..." Secondly, a person must repent.  Repentance is a change of mind and direction.  Luke 13:3, " I tell you no; but unless you repent you will all like-wise perish." One who repents will cease their committing sin.  Sin is a transgression of God's laws (1 John 3:4), and all unrighteousness is sin (1 John 5:17). Next, one must make that sweet confession before others that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  This is what the eunuch did in Acts 8:37.  In Romans 10:9, "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (The New Kings James Bible). If a person does these things, then there is one more act of faith that must be done.  This act will put you in God's family, where all spiritual blessings are (Eph 1:3), and will save your soul.  I am talking about baptism.  Is baptism necessary? Yes!  Look at 1Peter 3:21. " There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ," The New King James Bible.  Note that Peter says that this is the answer of a good conscience toward God.  Why?  Because God commands that we be baptized. In Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." The New King James Bible. This plan of salvation is offered freely to everyone.  Revelation 22:17,"And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely." New King James Bible. Obeying these few simple commands will put you into God's family, the church. In baptism you come into contact with the blood of Christ.  This is what saves us.  His precious blood saves after your obedience to these commands. You must live a faithful life in Christ.  In Revelation 2:10, "... Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life." New King James Bible.  Why not become a Christian according to the standards set forth by The Father?
